The Culture Night: Art exhibition FRAGILE | Opening & dance performance | Open house

Filmmaker Mervi Junkkonen’s video art exhibition FRAGILE is based on her interviews with refugees about trauma, loss and identity. The exhibition features of a series of video installations that reflect on the physical and emotional consequences of these painful experiences. As a part of the opening at 2 p.m., dancer Irina Anufrieva will also perform a Butoh-influenced dance piece.

Mervi Junkkonen is an established film director and editor, and works in Sweden and Finland. She presented her first solo exhibition, Good Intentions, at Köttinspektionen, Uppsala in 2015.

Irina Anufrieva is a dancer and choreographer based in Stockholm. She was educated at the InZhest Theatre in Belarus, and the SU-EN Butoh Company in Sweden.
