The Department of Chemistry – Ångström hereby invite all interested to a docent (associate professorship) lecture in subject Chemistry with specialization in Molecular Biomimetics.
Chairperson: Professor Johannes Messinger
Representative of the Associate Professorship Board: Professor Adolf Gogoll
The lecture will be given in English.
Since the birth of Electron Spin Resonance in 1944, this technique has been attracted to chemists with huge enthusiasm. Along with its developments, this technique has been widely utilized in studying varies molecules and materials in almost boundless fields and applications. In this lecture, a flavour of what can be studied by EPR, as well as some interesting examples of applications will be given.
The lecture is an obligatory teaching test for those applying for admittance as docent (associate professor) and it should be possible for students and others with basic academic education in the relevant field to follow it. The lecture will last for 45 minutes and afterwards the audience may ask questions. The lecture will be given in English.
