The Department of Engineering Sciences hereby invite all interested to a docent (associate professorship) lecture in subject solid state Physics
Perovskite solar cell materials represent low cost solar cell devices with high efficiencies which have been introduced very recently at 2012. Have been so-called as ‘’The next big thing in photovaltaics’’, they own spectacular physical properties that makes them special candidates for providing our future energy demands. In this lecture, the basics , benefits and drawbacks of perovskite solar cell devices are presented and insights for finding new perovskite solar cell materials with enhanced performance would be presented.
The lecture is an obligatory teaching test for those applying for admittance as docent (associate professor) and it should be possible for students and others with basic academic education in the relevant field to follow it. The lecture will last for 45 minutes and afterwards the audience may ask questions. The lecture will be given in English.
Chairperson: professor Lars Österlund
Representative of the Associate Professorship Board: professor Kristofer Gamstedt
