Join the Uppsala University Switzerland Alumni Chapter (UUSAC) for a study visit to Paul Scheerer Institut (PSI), the largest research institute in Switzerland supporting engineering and natural sciences.
UUSAC in collaboration with SKANDAC, "der Skandinavische Akademische Club", invite you to join a study visit to Paul Scheerer Institut (PSI).
PSI is the largest research institute in Switzerland supporting engineering and natural sciences. World class research with the main topics Matter and Material, Energy and Environment and Human Health. Fundamental and applied research is conducted aiming to find long term solutions on challenges in society, industrial and science.
It will be a guided tour of the large-scale research area taking 3 hours. We will visit the Swiss Light Source, the experimental hall and the Centre for Proton Therapy (depending on availability). Detailed plan:

Date & time: Saturday 18th of January 2020, 10:00 (but we will arrive 10 minutes earlier)
Location: Visitor Centre PSI, 5232 Villigen
Public transport option: 09:06 Zürich HB IR16 towards Bern track 16, change 09:35 in Brugg Bus 376 arriving 09:49 at PSI West. We will travel in the 2:nd class wagon furthest away from HB.
Costs: Free entrance
Number participants: Minimum 12, maximum 25. Members may bring one friend.
